Geovanni Adrian Pérez Ortega

Geovanni Adrian Pérez Ortega is a contemporary dancer from Oaxaca, Mexico. He started dancing at the age of 17 at the “Centro Nacional de Danza Contemporanea -  CENADAC” in Querétaro, Mexico (2002). A few years later, he enters the “Real Conservatorio Profesional de Danza Mariemma” in Marid, Spain (2009). The teachers and directors during his training contributed to his ability to work with numerous companies, and projects and they gave him the keys to perform in national and international festivals in countries such as Brasil, France, Slovakia, Hungary, Germany, Spain, Switzerland and Mexico. Geovanni received several prices during his career such as, the Youth State Price “Medal Luis Donaldo Colosio Murrieta” (2009), the price for the best male performer for the “Miguel Covarrubias Price Choreography creation competition” (2007), and for the “National dance price Guillermo Arriaga” (2016) and the price for the 3rd spot as performer for the “14 International solo-Tanz-Theater Festival Stuttgart”, Germany (2010).

His search and creative necessity to investigate new tendencies in the state of Oaxaca, Mexico lead him to be part of the Ballet Contemporáneo Laura Vera (2009-2017).
