Body Memories
An extension of the 2021 work “Body Memory”, “Body Memories” is an interactive performance where the body triggers sounds through its gestures, in partnership with the artist Chloe Bensahel and the creative coder Jonathan Tanant.
Where & when?
Apr 27, 2024, 3:00 PM – 3:30 PM
Palais de Tokyo, 13 Av. du Président Wilson, 75116 Paris, France
About the event
Inspired by the multicultural experiences of Bautista and Bensahel marked by migration, Body Memories unfolds between three people and proposes the body as a site where several, sometimes contradictory, stories, cultures and melodies coexist. Using embroidery using conductive thread, each dancer can trigger sounds that vary depending on the areas of the body affected. These gestures are connected to a computer system which spreads sound throughout space. A sound and visual story thus unfolds between bodies and continents.
An exhibition ticket will allow you to attend this performance. The performance will take place in the Grande Rotonde.
