About the event
Althea Dance Company will host its annual workshops in Paris this September 2025. The workshop offers a three-day intensive program designed for pre-professional and professional dancers.
Led by Artistic Director Théa Bautista and company members, the workshop includes contemporary technique classes, repertory, improvisation, and partnering. Each session is designed to deepen dancers' physicality, presence, and creative expression.
Select guest artists from the FUSA Festival, including Jeremy Alberge and Simona De Tullio, will also lead special sessions, offering participants insight into diverse choreographic voices and processes.
Each day is divided into two parts:
Morning sessions focus on contemporary technique.
Afternoon sessions explore creative tools such as partnering, repertory, improvisation, and composition — elements often not covered in standard dance training.
Althea Dance Company’s movement language blends fluidity and seamless transitions with athletic physicality, merging floorwork with expressive lines and dynamic range. Participants will be immersed in ADC’s unique choreographic approach and artistic vision.
The company focuses on international collaboration with artists from different fields such as writers, musicians, painters or visuals artists. Althea Dance also likes to perform in surprising and unusual spaces such as warehouses, artist studios, art galleries or outdoor stages. The company explores new ways of sharing dance with the audience and reaching out to people who may not be used to the contemporary dance scene.
So far, Althea Dance Company has performed internationally, mainly in the United States, the UK, France and Mexico and is aiming to keep expending its international voice.

Afternoon 1-3pm, atelier (repertoire, partnering and guest companies) with Althea Dance Company.

Full 3-day workshop (morning and afternoon sessions) - 150€
Full Afternoon sessions (students need to attend the 3 days) – 90€
Drop-in rate (morning sessions only) – 30€
