The Dream

This project explores the notion of identity through the lens of journey, dream, and movement, using as its core reflection the experience of migrants crossing the border between Mexico and the United States on foot. It is an artistic and physical research that questions the identity transformation brought about by this passage: how does geographic and physical displacement become an inner journey? Through testimonies, field observations, and choreographic research inspired by pedestrian movement techniques and traditional Mexican dances, I seek to translate these stories and movements into a danced language.
